And your charger, and your phone

Your charging puck is the magnet. The mount carries none of its own, so a puck goes in the face and the phone snaps onto that — which is why the mount needs one to hold a phone, and why the phone charges the whole time it's up there. It takes the 25 W class: the Apple 25W MagSafe Charger or the Samsung Qi2 25W Magnet Wireless Charger (EP-P2900) — same outside diameter, either one drops in. The older Apple 15 W MagSafe puck is a different size and does not fit. We don't sell pucks, so those links go straight to them.

iPhone 12 and newer snap onto the puck directly. Samsung and other Android phones need a magnetic Qi2 case — the magnets live in the case, not the phone. Your phone charges as fast as your charger and phone allow.
