How it works

1. What is this, exactly?

It’s a replacement lid with a built-in MagSafe phone mount. You take the original lid off a YETI or Stanley cup you already own, snap this MagSafe mount on in its place, and that cup becomes a rock-solid phone stand. You drop your own charging puck into the face — that puck is the magnet that holds the phone, so the mount takes one to work (question 12 covers exactly which). Swap your lid, repurpose a cup you already have. No drilling, no adhesive, no new gadget cluttering the cabin.

2. So I don’t drink out of the cup anymore?

Correct. Once the MagSafe mount is on, that cup is a dedicated phone stand — not a drinking cup. The idea is to give an extra cup a second life as a phone mount. Keep your other cup for your coffee; turn this one into the stand.

3. How does the cup stay put in my vehicle?

Exactly the way it always has. The cup’s own base sits in your vehicle’s cupholder just like any normal cup — the mount never touches the cupholder itself. The MagSafe mount simply replaces the lid on top. Your phone snaps onto the MagSafe face. That’s the whole system: your cup, our lid, your phone.

4. Why a lid swap instead of a clamp or vent clip?

Because the cup you already own is the perfect base — weighted, the right diameter for your cupholder, and already sitting where you want your phone. We don’t fight your cabin for space or block your air vent. We just give that cup a better lid.

Fit — start with the cup you own

5. How do I know which one I need?

Find the cup you already own in the lists below and you’ve found your mount. Two YETI sizes (Medium and Large), two Stanley Quencher mounts (20 & 30, and 40 & 64), and the Everyday Tumbler mount cover them all.

6. Which YETI cups does the Medium mount fit?

The Medium mount fits these YETI cups:

  • 16 oz Stackable
  • 10 oz Stackable Mug
  • 20 oz Tumbler
  • 20 oz Stackable
  • 10 oz Stackable Lowball
  • 24 oz Mug
  • 25 oz Straw Mug

7. Which YETI cups does the Large mount fit?

The Large mount fits these YETI cups:

  • 30 oz Tumbler
  • 30 oz Stackable
  • 14 oz Mug and Stackable Mug
  • 26 oz Cup
  • 35 oz Straw Mug
  • 42 oz Straw Mug

8. Which Stanley cups does the Stanley mount fit?

Three Stanley fits. The Everyday mount fits the Stanley Everyday Tumbler in 16 oz and 20 oz. The Quencher 20/30 mount fits the Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState in 20 oz and 30 oz. The Quencher 40 & 64 mount fits the H2.0 FlowState in 40 oz and 64 oz plus the 40 oz Quencher ProTour — but not pre-2022 Quenchers (the ones without “H2.0”), the IceFlow series, or the 14 oz. Not sure your lid style matches? Email us before ordering and we’ll confirm.

9. What if I have a different brand or size?

Right now we cover YETI (Medium and Large), the Stanley Everyday Tumbler, and the Stanley Quencher (20 & 30, and 40 & 64) — the cups most people already own. Want a fit we don’t list yet? Tell us. We’re small enough to actually read it.

Phones, cases & charging

10. Which phones work?

Your phone snaps onto the charging puck sitting in the mount — the puck is the magnet, so it has to be in there (question 12 covers which one to get). iPhone 12 and newer have MagSafe magnets built in and go straight on. Samsung and other Android phones need a magnetic Qi2 case — the magnets live in the case, not the phone. The hold works through the magnet array, so it has to be there on both sides: puck below, phone or magnetic case above.

11. Will it work with my case on?

Yes, as long as the case is MagSafe-compatible (or your phone has native MagSafe and the case is thin enough for the magnet to pass through). The one exception is heavy battery cases — they add too much weight and thickness for a reliable hold, so we don’t recommend them.

12. Which charging puck do I need — and do I have to have one?

You have to have one, and here’s why: the puck is the magnet. There are no magnets in the mount itself. Your charging puck drops into the face, and its magnet array is what grips the phone. One part does both jobs — that’s why your phone charges the entire time it’s mounted, and it’s why a mount with no puck in it won’t hold a phone.

It takes the 25W class: the Apple 25W MagSafe Charger and the Samsung Qi2 25W Magnet Wireless Charger (model EP-P2900). Those two share an outside diameter — same size, either one drops right in. The older Apple 15W MagSafe puck is a different size and does not fit, so check which one you have before you order.

We don’t sell pucks, so here is exactly what to buy: the Apple 25W MagSafe Charger at apple.com, or the Samsung Qi2 25W Magnet Wireless Charger at samsung.com. Most carriers and big-box stores stock both. Your phone charges as fast as your charger and phone allow — to pull the full 25W from the Apple puck you need a 30W or larger USB-C power adapter behind it; on a smaller adapter it still charges, just slower.

13. Will my phone fall off on rough roads?

That’s the whole reason this mount exists. Your phone sits on full magnet contact with the puck; the mount’s job is to hold that puck square and rigid so the contact never breaks, and the cup’s own weight in the cupholder keeps the base planted. With a standard MagSafe phone (no heavy battery case), it holds through road buzz and rough pavement.

Durability

14. How tough is it really?

It’s built for the road — constant buzz and the occasional hard knock. It’s a structural part, not a flimsy clip.

Install, care & use

15. Do I need any tools to install it?

None. No drilling, no adhesive, no hardware. Twist or pull off your cup’s original lid, snap our MagSafe mount on in its place, and set the cup back in your cupholder. The whole swap takes seconds.

16. How do I take care of it?

Wipe it down with a damp cloth. No harsh solvents needed. Since the cup is now a phone stand and not a drinking cup, there’s no daily washing to worry about — and nothing to charge or replace in the mount itself.

Ordering, shipping & made-to-order

17. Why does it say made-to-order, and how long until it ships?

We build each mount in your chosen fit and color when you order — we don’t warehouse a wall of guesses. That’s how a small American shop offers real size and color options without inflating the price. Every mount is made in the USA and ships in 3–5 business days. You’ll get tracking when it ships.

18. Where do you ship from, and where to?

Every mount is designed and made in the USA, and ships from the US.

Returns & guarantee

19. What’s the satisfaction guarantee?

Every mount carries a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If it’s not right for you — wrong fit, or just not what you wanted — send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. The cup lists on every product page make fit clear up front, but either way you’re covered.

20. Can I return a made-to-order item if I changed my mind?

Yes. Made to order doesn’t mean final sale here. Send it back unused and in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery and we’ll get you a full refund. We print each one for you, so we’d rather help you land on the right mount — but the door is open either way.

One more thing

21. Are you affiliated with YETI, Stanley, Apple, or Samsung?

No. New Modern Trends is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YETI, Stanley, Apple, or Samsung. We design replacement lids that are compatible with their products, and we use those names only to tell you what fits. “YETI,” “Stanley,” “MagSafe,” “Apple,” and “Samsung” are trademarks of their respective owners.
